Animation with Great Emotion

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ba_kgtZSfE

I think that beauty and the beast has the best emotions portrayed in an animated film. You can tell how each of the characters are feeling due to intense scenes with emotion on their faces and even in the music it helps to portray emotion.

Character revised

3 animations

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sC7rIZ5dOPY

This animation has simple blocky textures as in the hair. But the textures are smooth and simple which allows you to pay more attention to the animation but they are not so simple that it looks amateur.

The birds in this animation have very unique way of texturing each feather. Each feather moves individually. Since the foreground is very complex the background is painterly and it works really well.

This animation has very unique textures, because the clouds look very fluffy, the grass looks like grass, the fur looks like fur, this animation is textured very well

Scene

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHH3iSeDBLo

This scene in Wall-e has very good camera angles, with a full body shot then going to a close up to feel for the bug then going back to the full body shot. The the shot shoes the enviornment. The shots are continuous and easy to follow. It sets up the scene and who Wall-E actually is and what he does. He works at getting rid of junk but he also is a collector, and each scene with the close ups and other shots help to tell the story

Continuity, Mise-en-Scene, Composition

Continuity: a continuous or connected whole. Or giving the complete action, and scenes. In detail and in order in which they are to be shown on screen.

Mise-en-Scene: Is the process of setting a stage with regard to placement of actors, scenery and props.

Compostion: The placement of objects and people with in a scene to make up what the viewer sees.

Character Story Revised

Hops is hopping along the prarie floor looking for something to eat. He comes to a bush, while looking through the bush for some berries to eat he spots the most beautiful flower he has ever seen. He bypasses the bush and goes over to the flower. He bends down to smell the flower and a gust of wind blows the flower and the flower lightly grazes Hops lips. Hops thinks the beautiful flower has kissed him and he hugs it believing he has finally found love. Hops hugs the flower to hard and accidently yanks up pulling the flower out of the ground. Hops realizes what he has done and frantically looks around for a water source. He spots the river across the prarie and head in that direction. As he is frantically going towards the river he doesnt see a rock and trips. The flower flies out of his hands. He gets up and grabs the flower and finally gets to the river and reluctantly has to let the flower go or else it is going to die. You see a tear fall down Hops face but a slight smile appears, as he puts the flower in the river and it travels down stream.

Story Concept and Drawings

Chips: Chips is walking along the forest floor looking for some nuts. She then gets hit and knocks her out. She wakes up and these baby birds are all staring her in the face. They are saying "mama" as if she was their mother. She has always wanted kids, but her conscience tells her she needs to find their mother.
Hops: Hops is very lonely and just wants to be loved. He hops along the prarie floor when he stumbles across the most beautiful thing he has ever seen. A daisy. He goes to the daisy and starts to talk to her. The breeze blows and the flower meets the bunnys lips. He thinks she has kissed him. He plucks her and takes her with him to his home. He realizes on the way home she is wilting. He now has to find some water source before she dies.
Henry is an expectant father. He is just days away from the babies hatching. He starts to freak out, and needs to get away. Some how he has to get outside the walls of the zoo. But how will he achieve this? Jumping over the wall? Flying? Climbing a tree. Hes screwed because he cant jump high, he is a bird that cant fly, and hes no monkey he cant climb a tree.

Assignment 3-Wants, Obstacle, Overcoming Obstacle

Want: The character wants her kittens back from the toy box upstairs.
Obstacle: How is she going to get upstairs (drunken off asprin) and get her kittens back? She has to get past the people of the house without them knowing whats going on. Then she has to make it up the stairs while she can barely walk in a straight line. Then she has to figure out how to open the door to the toy room with no hands.
Overcoming obstacle: Follows the people of the house around until she convinces (with meows and hinting at the door) them to open the door.

Assignment 2

Mater is one of my favorite Disney characters. He is goofy, and a true best friend. He is absolutely amazing and always puts a smile on your face. When I first saw him in the movie Cars i fell in love with him. He puts a smile on my face in the lowest of times.
The Hunger Games is a book about these games that children get put into and fight to the death. Only one will survive. In the book there is a girl named Katniss. Her sister gets put into the Hunger Games and Katniss volunteers herself to save her little sister, which is very heroic and inspiring. This character is very witty and smart, and makes you smile at some of the things she does.
Cinderella has always been my favorite Disney Princess. She overcomes her father dying, her stepmother hating her and her stepsisters putting her down. She cleans, cooks, and takes care of everyone and never asks for a thing in return. Even though shes poor and treated so horrible she ends up getting the prince in the end. This shows that bad things almost always turn out ok.

Assignment 1

This person is a crossing dressing man, whom thinks he is actually a she. He lives in Tokyo where cross dressing is a little more accepted. His uncomfortable situation is going to be putting him in Texas, where people are more conservative.
This cat has schizophrenia, and believes that each one of these animals are a part of him. Each animal displays one of his personalities, and he talks through them. Putting him in a room with nothing but himself would be his uncomfortable situation.

This guy has trouble speaking to people directly because he is very shy. So he uses the back of his head to speak to people. He even moves the lips to what he is saying. His uncomfortable situation is either getting the tattoo removed or growing his hair out so that he has to use his own lips to talk. He also then has to look people in the eyes when he talks.
